Tainan

Located in Tainan, this project is currently under construction and represents one of Dharma Drum Mountain’s largest developments to date. The building is conceived as a square volume supported by four massive columns, with service cores integrated within the columns to maintain a column-free central space. In section, each floor is structured through a grid-beam system, revealing an ambition to integrate structural logic with spatial experience.

The façade also embodies Buddhist symbolism. The overall composition subtly recalls the form of the Buddhist *swastika* symbol, while the upper accommodation levels appear slightly detached from the main structure below. A continuous horizontal band of windows frames the upper volume, resembling the gently opened eyes of a Buddha gazing downward with compassion and tranquility.
